The Community Preventive Services Task Force (CPSTF) recommends comprehensive telehealth interventions to supplement the care of adults who have chronic diseases affected by diet, like cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Telehealth lets health care providers and patients connect by phone, email, web-based programs, or other electronic or digital media. CPSTF found strong evidence that comprehensive telehealth interventions can help people eat healthier diets — including eating more fruits and vegetables and less salt.
