The Community Preventive Services Task Force (CPSTF) recommends enhanced school-based physical education (PE) to increase physical activity. Enhanced school-based PE involves increasing the amount of time students spend getting moderate- or vigorous-intensity physical activity during PE classes. CPSTF found that enhanced school-based PE is an effective way to achieve these increases.
