In this Cochrane systematic review, the Cochrane Collaborative found that psychosocial treatment is more effective than no treatment in helping people with cannabis use disorder use cannabis less. The studies in the review looked at interventions including cognitive‐behavioral therapy and motivational enhancement therapy. Researchers also found that psychosocial interventions aren’t likely to improve people’s motivation to quit, their other substance use, or their mental health.
