In this Cochrane systematic review, the Cochrane Collaborative found that there’s not enough high-quality evidence to determine which psychosocial interventions are most effective for reducing alcohol use in people who use illicit drugs. Researchers also found that the interventions have little or no effect on abstinence, reduced drinking, and substance use.
