On September 12 and 13, HHS and USDA will host the third meeting of the 2025 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee. The Committee is tasked with reviewing the current body of science on key nutrition and public health topics and developing a scientific report that includes its independent assessment of the evidence and recommendations for HHS and USDA as they develop the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2025-2030. The Committee’s report, public comments, and input from other federal nutrition experts will help inform HHS and USDA as the Departments develop the milestone 10th edition.
On the first day of the Committee meeting there will be a unique opportunity for the Committee to hear directly from the public in the form of virtually delivered oral comments. Oral comment registration has closed, but members of the public and the press can still register to view the livestream on DietaryGuidelines.gov. On the second day of the meeting, the Committee will deliberate on their ongoing work. To view the full meeting agenda, please visit DietaryGuidelines.gov.
