Reduce the consumption of saturated fat by persons aged 2 years and over
Summary
People who replace the saturated fat in their diet with unsaturated fat are likely to have lower cholesterol, which may reduce the risk of heart problems. But many people in the United States eat too much saturated fat. Nutrition counseling and behavioral interventions can help people eat less saturated fat. Encouraging people to use the Nutrition Facts label can also help them track their consumption of saturated fat.
