Summary
A person’s hearing ability affects their educational and job opportunities, relationships, mental health, and more. While hearing loss is common, many people don’t know they have it. Hearing exams can help find hearing loss early, when it may be easier to treat. Increasing access to hearing exams — by making them more affordable and offering them through telehealth, retail clinics, and community health organizations — can help more people get their hearing checked.
