HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is the virus that causes AIDS. In 2017, more than 1.1 million people in the United States were living with HIV.
Since many people with HIV don’t have symptoms, 1 in 7 don’t know they have it. The only way to know if you have HIV is to get tested — spread the word about National HIV Testing Day on June 27!
