Summary

Building homes and residential buildings without steps at the entrance helps prevent falls, which are one of the leading causes of accidental injuries in the United States. In addition, it’s much easier for people who use mobility aids — like wheelchairs or walkers — to live in or visit these homes. Raising awareness about the benefits of entrances without steps is the most important strategy for influencing the way homes are built.
