Reduce the proportion of adolescents and young adults with herpes simplex virus-2 (HSV-2)

Summary

There’s no cure for herpes. Genital herpes, or HSV-2, usually doesn’t cause any symptoms, so most people with genital herpes don’t know they have it. Testing people who have herpes symptoms and treating genital herpes with antiviral medication make it less likely that people will pass the virus to others.
